In this post I am gonna show you how to make cute and beautiful paper lanterns for diwali.This is a very simple and easy project and you can make these in different colors and decorate your home this diwali. I have made these in green, blue and light pink color. Loving these lanterns and their colors.

Material required

• A4 size paper ( 6 sheets )
• White glue
• Compass
• Pencil
• scissors
• Toilet paper roll
• Ruler
• Led tealight candle

How To Make

Step 1

Start drawing circles of radius 4 cm. You can draw maximum of 6 circles on each A4 sheet of color paper. Draw total of 33 circles and cut them out.

Step 2

Fold the circles in half.

Step 3

Make a rectangle with 17.5 × 8 cm. 17.5 cm is the width and 8 cm is the height of the rectangle.

Step 4

Mark 0.5 cm along the width of the rectangle on both the sides. Leave 1 cm at the end.

Step 5

Step 6

Cutout the rectangle.

Step 7

Apply glue on the lines of the rectangle and stick the circles and let it dry for sometime.

Step 8

Hold your toilet paper roll and wrap your lantern around it and apply glue on that 1 cm space we had left. Stick the other end over it and let it dry. Using toilet paper roll will give your lantern a nice round shape. Remove the toilet paper roll.

Step 9

I have made two more lanterns.

Step 10

Place the tealight candle inside it.Your colorful and cute lantern is ready.
